They were the T-Wolves. Enough said. Outside of a handful of seasons the guy had absolutely no help whatsoever. I said he was a good leader, I didn't say he was God.

You sound like you'd know better than me, but I don't think I've ever heard of KG mailing it in. If anything, it seems like his problem can be caring too much, getting too hyped for every game -- thus running out of gas in the playoffs or not having another gear to kick into.

I'll agree with that, Boobie. I think too often in Minnesota he had to expend so much energy just to get a rag-tag bunch within sniffing distance of a playoff spot that by the time April rolled around, he was completely wiped. And I'll tell you right now, I grew up in Michigan, have been a life-long Pistons fan and live by the thought process that you hate anyone that's not on your team -- fair or not. But if Detroit can't win it, and I hate saying this because it's Boston, then I want KG to get a ring. I don't think anyone in the league deserves one right now more than that guy. He gave everything he had to a shitty organization for 12 years. He's a throw back in a leauge full of show-me idiots. He gives everything he has every single night, and there isn't anyone playing in the league that has more respect than he does.

I think it was Adande from ESPN did a poll at All-Star Weekend who they'd like to see get a ring if it wasn't them. KG got the most votes, I think Nash was second. That's a pretty good compliment. Kobe said that if it wasn't him, he didn't care. I actually liked that answer; I was surprised so many guys would allow themselves to step back and think about competitors winning.

"Blazer Sheed" reappeared Wednesday night: 3-13 from 3-point land, four big rebounds, five personal fouls, spent most of the fourth quarter screeching at the refs (amazingly and inexplicably NOT getting teed up; I can never understand why NBA refs tolerate even ONE WORD out of the mouth of Rasheed Wallace), and demolished all game long by Garnett.

If "Blazer Sheed" reappears for more than one game in any playoff series, the Pistons are toast.

Ummm, 'Sheed still scored 23 points.

Yeah, imagine how much he would have scored if he wasn't hucking up so many 3-pointers. I think that's the point. He's good when he realizes he's a 6'11" forward, not so good when he decides to play the 2.

He's a 35 percent 3-point shooter, better than and Kobe Bryant and Jamal Crawford.

Sheed is fine when he steps out every once in a while, but when he's hoisting up a dozen-plus 3s that's not good for the Pistons. The fact he scored 23 points against the Celts is evidence of that. Imagine what he would have scored if a few of those times he was clanking from downtown, he had instead slashed or waited for a shot in the lane.

The "Imagine if" part of Rasheed Wallace has been with him since his Chapel Hill days and it will be with him until he retires.
This is nothing new ... he's the ultimate wild card. He could kill you or put you over the top.
A risk Detroit took and it worked once, almost worked again and hasn't really worked since.

Were you using Crawford to support the point or refute it?

I brought up Crawford to say he was shooting better than a lot of 2 guards from beyond the arc. If you don't like Crawford, because he's a gunner, how about Rafer Alston and Baron Davis?
