I've been saying this for weeks. Bryant needs to go back to shooting all the time. Screw his teammates. Check out their record when he does most of the scoring. Odom shrinks in crunch time and the rest are role players at best.
The biggest knock on Bryant is he shoots too much and critics always point to the 81-point game vs. Toronto as this horrible thing. They conveniently forget the Lakers trailed by 18 early in that game to the Raptors and Bryant literally willed the Lakers to the win.

Criticize all you want, it's more fun watching the Lakers win and seeing how many points Bryant will score than watching Odom, Kwame Brown and Smush Parker throw up bricks all night.

I really wasn't surprised about this game. It was only a matter of time before he had a game like this. Why? Well because that's what Kobe does. Whenever the media starts saying bad stuff about him(I'm not arguing if it was deserved or not), he comes out with games like these. Remember how he went off during the court trials? Or how about last year when he got suspended by the league for elbowing Mike Miller. He went off for the rest of the season(which included that 81 point game). When he plays pissed off, the NBA should watch out.

What a great win for the Pistons. 105-83 over the Suns AT Phoenix. That's right, they held them to 83 points.

  5. Yeah, being mentally and physically exhausted from a double-OT win had nothing to do with it.

First of all, they played that game(against Dallas) on Wednesday. Second of all, if they can't play well after an "exhausting double OT win", then they're gonna shit their pants come playoff time.

And the Suns get kilt again. 131-107 against the Nuggets. Allen Iverson with 44 points, 15 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Boozer got some a lot of boos tonight at the Gund and I guess it took a toll on him late in the game. I think he shot like 2-9 in the 2nd half. LeBron came out with 24 points, 17 rebounds, and 9 assists. 8th straight win for the Cavs. It's gonna be interesting to see if they can take the top seed away from the Pistons, who are on a 5 game winning streak after coming out of their west coast road trip.

And this is why the Mavs will win the West yet again this year.

They rebound nicely after that kind of stuff. Then again they have the Pistons today and it could get ugly.

    Pistons-Mavs will be nice.

And I have to say, I'm impressed with the Cavs' streak right now. I'm not sure the level of comp they've been playing, but they have won 8 in a row. That deserves some props.

Pistons have a 7 point lead on the Mavs right now(39-32).........without Billups(out with a groin injury).
