He's leading a team to 60 wins, off of leading a team to The Finals. That's all.

But it's cool. Kobe will get a phat shoe contract off of his 60 point games and 42 wins. More street cred, and all.

That ought to soothe the pain when he's watching the 2nd round at home. Again. For the 3rd straight year as the 'leader' of his team.

If you're going by wins, Chauncey Billups, hands down, should've gotten the MVP last year.

Bottom line to this whole thread is, RokSki is more obsessed with Kobe Bryant than the Cordillera Spa Tramp in Denver.

If there's anything I've learned about NBA fans in recent years is Bryant can't win.

If he shoots more than 30 times, he's a ballhog who doesn't get his teammates involved.

If he tries to pass more and get his teammates involved, he's throwing the game and doesn't want to win.

When one of his ex-teammates said "If you don't feed the big dog, he's not going to guard the house." (Interpretation: If I don't get the ball, I'm not playing defense), it's thought of as cute.

When Bryant passes the ball to Ron Harper and Robert Horry for game-winning shots in the playoffs a few years ago, no one credits the passer.

When Bryant is passed the ball by one of his gutless teammates as the shot clock is expiring and he's forced to chuck a desperation shot, he needs to trust his teammate.

RokSki, this obsession is only making you look silly. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering your close relationship with John D. Villaretardo (I may have spelled that wrong. Ooops.) Neither one of you seems to have much touch with reality.

Yeah it's all about the scoring title. C'mon, at least try to budge your obsession/hatred of Kobe when making judgements.
He's going to have to get his teammates involved when the playoffs started, but they have won 3 in a row after a horrid skid. Bryant saw his team needed a lift, and he put his team on his shoulders. It lasts for a few more games, everyone gets healthy and the Lakers end up playing well heading into the playoffs.
Does it win them a first-round series against the Spurs? Probably not, but it's silly to rag on Kobe for playing well. By the way, he also shot 54 percent from the field tonight. Yeah, I think I'd take that.

And we'll see what the Heat have in the tank in a month. If Eddie Jones keeps up this run of play, I'll kiss my own rear. And it's not exactly all Shaq. He is averaging a measly 7 rpg and under 17 ppg.

Good point. But Mr. Big Shot's stats weren't good enough to get him the nod.

You have to have stats and wins, at least that's how it seems to be.

Gimpy - I've been on the board hardly at all in the past month.
And my 'obsession' with Kobe is the talk of all the
media outlets, tv and radio. Look, we both like MMA,
but it's still not up there with the NBA, and it's NBA
season. I love this game! I have to talk about some-
thing when I come on here.

Hatchat - We'll just agree to disagree. I respect your
knowledge of hoops (same as CT's) (Gimpy, I have
no idea how much hoops you watch, no offense
meant, just don't know if you follow it much), and
    you have good points.

I'm old school, and Kobe bugs the hell out of me. I
just can't stand the A-Rod, scripted crap that he
gives out. He's just not my kind of guy. He's
amazingly talented, but so is A-Rod. That's just my
    take.

    Peace, fellas.

    1. You don't have to have the best team in the league to be the MVP. It's Most Valuable Player. Period, end of story.
    2. Last year's stats:
    Chauncey Billups: 18.5 points/per 8.6 assists/per (and they had 64 wins)
    Steve Nash: 18.8 points/per 10.5 assists/per

Bryant has 44 after three quarters in New Orleans.
You know RokSki is getting a rash right now.

He's shooting 16-29 from the field and 16-16 from the free throw line.
