This has been fun to watch. It's too bad some people would rather hate than appreciate what's going on right now.

OMG, just got back from the Pistons game. Easily one of the greatest games I've ever been to. Pistons down by 3 with(I think) 2 seconds left and the Nuggets have the ball. Camby imbounds it and Tayshaun tips to Rasheed. 'Sheed takes a full court shot and knocks it down, OVERTIME! And yes, the Pistons end up winning it. A good win considering CWebb and RIP weren't playing.

^^Yo, how bad did Dirk twist his ankle? I need him for my fantasy playoff run.

From Eddie Sefko at the DMN

"Nowitzki's ankle is not believed to be serious."

that was from last night. Let's hope that's true.

From over on the hockey thread (courtesy of JR's reserch!):

This is rather shocking, particularly if you're a NBA fan.

The NHL telecast on NBC (Boston Bruins-Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers-New York Islanders regionally) drew a larger national audience than ABC's National Basketball Association telecast (Phoenix Suns-Sacramento Kings).

From the perspective of the NHL, the numbers show that, on a good day, hockey is in the same ballpark as the NBA and even capable of posting a win.

I think I witnessed history tonight.

    ***

When's the last time you can name that a guy had:

    - a less than 1 assists-to-turnover ratio

    AND

    - half his team's FGA

    AND

    - TWENTY TIMES more FGA than assists, as a guard

    Has this ever happened before?

Seriously, think about that. 20 TIMES more FGA than assists. There are only two possibilities of that happening - 20 FGA/1 Ast, or 40/2 Ast. I'm not sure even Kobe is conscienceless enough to shoot 60 times and get the 60/3 option.

People, you are seeing statistical outputs the likes of which you will almost never see again. Take heed.

If you don't understand that Kobe is the unquestioned MVP of the "And-1..., er, I mean the NBA, you just flat-out don't know hoops.

Today, Skip-To-My-Lou's of the world, is your day. You have inherited the Earth, and a Kob-Me shall lead you...

...straight outta of the playoffs in round 1!

You'll excuse me if my dick doesn't become hard after reading another one of your diatribes.

DWade is leading the league(tied with Iverson,Carmelo,Nash, and Dwight Howard) in turnovers per game. Does that make him a terrible player?
