Mike Brown might be one of the worst coaches I've ever seen in drawing up game-ending plays. Tie game at the end of regulation tonight vs. Miami, the play is to give LeBron the ball at the top of the key and have four guys stand there while he gets double-teamed, forcing him to chuck one up from 25 feet. End of OT, Cavs down 3 and they can't even get the ball inbounds from halfcourt, instead chucking it across court to a well-covered LeBron, who helplessly has to foul.

LeBron made some god-awful decisions down the stretch and the Cavs missed too many second-half shots too, but that's just horrific play-calling. This team is going home in round 1.

Yeah, Mike Brown is not a good in-game coach, I agree.

Round 1? Maybe, but I think they'll make it to the second round, at least. LeBron's playing great and I really like the Euro swingman. The East just sucks too bad for them to lose before the 2nd round, IMO

Mike Brown is terrible. He was terrible in the playoffs too. The only reason they advanced was because of LeBron's great play.

The Cavs are just a mind-boggling team. They swept San Antonio, won at Detroit this year and then at Chicago on Saturday, but have lost at home to the Knicks, twice (I think) in Charlotte and at Boston the night after the Chicago game.

No consistency to their rotation. No offensive identity. One day they are driving to the basket aggressively, the next they are chucking up jumpers (and not making many). When they're clicking, they're as dangerous as anybody in the East. When they're not... yikes.

How about that Nash, Rokski? The great MVP!

The same MVP that got torched by Tony Parker tonight. Where's the Nash thread Rok? ;)

I can start one, if you'd like :)

The Spurs are on a mission right now. Kobe's guys better hope they don't play SAS in the 1st round. :)

Kobe'll be ready. Don't know about his guys though.

    Nash does have guys. MVP!

Suns without Nash < Lakers without Kobe

Without Nash, the Suns cannot play "Suns Ball." It just doesn't work.

Lakers are over .500 without Kobe this year, and they still run the triangle.

I've got some ugly, ugly stats on the Lakers and Kobe I've been researching, but I have to see how the season plays out before I can post them. I know you're dying to see them, CT :)
