My opinion, and maybe mine only.

If Kobe scores that much on a majority of the nights the Lakers play then maybe he deserves the MVP.

Just think about where they'd be without him.

    And yes, I hate Kobe!

And, Rok, I just wanna make clear that I'm not advocating Kobe for MVP. I'm just saying Bryant shooting/scoring a lot is out of necessity. If he doesn't, the Lakers would be even worse off. I've watched basketball for about 25 years. I coached high school basketball for 5 years before becoming a sports journalist. So, I do consider myself knowledgeable about the sport. If Bryant doesn't shoot/score at the rate he does, then the Lakers would be even worse off than they already are.
    Need proof?
Bryant has already demonstrated that he'll play whatever way Phil Jackson asks him to play. Be a distributor? Done that. Shoot first? Done that, too. It's obvious, right now, what strategy Phil is advocating. I'll side with the coach who's wearing 9 championship rings. He knows the Lakers' best shot at winning games is for Bryant to shoot and shoot often. It may not be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but it's what needs to be done until they can dump Smush and peddle Odom/picks for a legit NBA forward.

Gimp, c'mon. You know I'm well beyond logic when it comes to Kobe. :)

I'm just waiting for .500 tonight.

    ;)

Anyone else taking in the Suns-Lakers game tonight?

I think we all know that I'm there. Who want to miss the push for .500?

    ;)

    Hater. ;-)

Hey Rok, who do you root for? I know who you root against, but I wanna know who you root for ...

Why do I feel like I'm contributing to opposition research responding to this? :)

I'm originally a Texas guy, so that's where my rooting interests mainly lie:

NFL - Cowboys. Also like: Raiders, Steelers, Titans

NBA - Rockets, Spurs. Mavs, too, but more distant. Also like: Heat,
    Nuggets, Suns

MLB - BoSox, Mets. Very anti-Yankees.

    Love boxing, UFC, etc.

What would the percentage be if Nash was playing with them instead of Kobe(the truth)? ;)

It would be above .500, for sure. Because everyone would be involved.

Hey Jumane, STOP SHOOTING 3's, ok?!
