If a league holds its draft and Becks isn't in it, does it make the front page?

Major League Soccer's SuperDraft has moved on to the second round, while Becks speaks on ESPN2.

    What's up with his bangs?

Good point. I wonder, since Alexei's on the stand, who's making the Galaxy's picks?

  3. apparently nobody, since it traded out of Nos. 5 and 10. But the club did walk away with a full player allocation

I keep thinking the Galaxy missed a chance to cash in on Beckham's signing by not having any jerseys with his name and number ready to sell. Perhaps his contract with Real prevents LAG from doing this, but I'm sure there are a lot of people ready order a new Beckahm jersey right now.

Ronaldo has been officially told he surplus to requirements at Real, and he can look for somewhere else to play next season. Red Bull is mentioned as a possible suitor, along with a club in Saudi Arabia.

I don't see Ronaldo as the signing that will put RBNY over the top. I actually view him as a big waste at this point.

I just hope the rumors about other European teams wanting him don't drive up the price to ridiculous proportions.

I predict Ronaldo will be in NY in 2008.

Also, what's up with Real Madrid's bullshit treatment of Beckham? He signed a contract with another team, so what? How many times has Madrid made a move on a player that was still under contract with another team? Figo signed with that Egyptian team, I don't see Inter Milan's coach and president throwing a hissy fit.

I've never seen this type of reaction before. I can't imagine Beckham sits for 6 months. Even it costs MLS 5 million to bring him in early, it'll be worth it.

  9. isnt the a FIFA rule that a player can buy out the remainder of his deal?

That is fascinating. I'd but a Free Beckham bumper sticker, and I guess I'll hold off on buying a jersey til the new ones come out.

Those kits better be ready soon. Last year, RBNY took months to come out with a jersey for fans to buy.
