Anyone else watching Newcastle get upset by Birmingham in the FA Cup? They're so short of players at St. James' Park they have a 16-year old on the bench tonight.

While we're at it, can we change the Dynamo's mess of a kit. (Use the quote function as you see fit.)

Thank God for the Internet. Can you imagine not having access to all that information because there's just not room in SI for a soccer story?

That was definitely a mess last year. I was also pissed off about the whole iron-on versus stitch badges. Not good.

In any case, that was all Adidas.

Honestly, I like the Dynamo's kit. It is different than the others (aka not blue) and they were using a different thread design than the others. Of course, this is also due to the quick name change from the year to the name. Oh well.

As to the Galaxy changing their kits... What the hell? Seriously. Is this necessary? Colorado is changing theirs. RBNY is going with blue next year. So, we are having a switch with Galaxy? Why?

While I wasn't a big fan of their old kits, I would have been had I followed the team. Instead they are switching off of something that was somewhat unique and going with something that multiple teams have.

What's wrong with yellow and gree [NorwichCityfanfriendofmine]

Talking of Norwich, on of my favorite fan songs.

    I can't read and I can't write
    But that don't really matter,
Cause I'm a Norwich City Fan
And I can drive a tractor.

My personal favorite is from Middlesborough fans:

Peter Reid's got a fuckin' monkeys head
    A fuckin' monkeys head
    A fuckin' monkeys head

I remember hearing that live. Fucking hilarious.

By the way, for context and tune, the intro was.

In the town where I was born
Lived a man with a monkeys head
And his name was Peter Reid
Peter Reid's got a monkeys head....

    Chorus!

I hear the name Peter Reid any more and I giggle like a school girl.

As a Man United fanboy, I love that they still do chants for Cantona a decade after he left. I also love:

    You are my Solskjaer,
    My Ole Solskjaer,
    You make me happy,
    When skies are grey,
And Alan Shearer, was fucking dearer,
So please don't take, my Solskjaer, away

That is a thing of beauty.

    How about this:

If I had the wings of a sparrow,
and I had the arse of a crow
    I'd fly over Luton tomorrow
And shit on the bastards below.
