    That start was Dynamo-esque.

So the semifinalists are three English-based (and marginally English) clubs and one of the two more unlovable clubs in Europe.

    Thank Yahweh for MLS....

Come on Bayern. AC shouldn't even be in Europe this season.

Drinking last night with Marvell Wynne and Tim Regan was pretty kickass. Although, Regan beating me in shuffleboard was not as cool.

Where? Did RBNY have some event?

Kearny Army setup the event. The "guest bartender" was John Harkes. Hugh MacDonald, Tim Regan and Marvell Wynne were there as well.

Marvell Wynne is a really cool human being. There are no two ways about it. The guy hung out and talked with me and a few others the whole night. Regan as well. They were laughing and joking with us about a variety of things soccer and non-soccer related.

You must have no idea how cold it was.
I might sit out in that crap for the AFC championship game, but for an MLS opener. Why?

Saw in today's NYT that, in 2006, "only" 10 players made more than $14 million in salary plus endorsements. Not sure how they calculated the exchange rate, but it goes to show you how well paid top US athletes are.

Can't argue with that. Man U had some pretty, pretty goals, but nothing like a blind, sideways, one-timer into the short side.

I don't think that he looked at the goal until it was past VDS.

    All of the goals --

    Feckity feckfeckfeck.

I'm 58 minutes away from not giving a shit about this abomination.

That was pretty poor from Bayern, but Milan deserved its two goals. It was like Bayern didn't start playing until midway through the second half.
