The countdown to game time has begun. I've got the tele shifted into my office and all is ready.

    5-hours...

I rearranged my schedule today so I wouldn't be bothered during today's match. I am both excited and fearful of what might happen today.

No need to be fearful. The US squad won't be at their peak. Germany won't either, but they will be closer.

    Besides, this will be fun.

Here we go... (in a little under 2-hours)

Imagine what might happen in the old Westfalenstadion if the US is tied, or worse, leading, after 60 minutes.....

Klinsmann will have to literally run across the Atlantic Ocean to avoid the lynching.

Under an hour remaining before kick-off.

And should the US win or tie, Klinsmann will need the Pope-mobile to provide him transport to the airport.

Perhaps he's already booked on the same charter to California that the USMNT is.....

    US lineup....

    GK - Keller
    D - Conrad, Berhalter, Gibbs
MF - Cherundolo, Zavagnin, Mastroeni, Wolff, Convey
    F- Ching, Johnson

Strikes me as a very defensive lineup.... Yes, it's a 3-5-2, but we're going with essentially four backs and two defensive mids....

Today's officially put-up-or-shut-up day for Brian Ching... be interested in seeing how he reacts.

I want to see EJ show something. If he wants the Euros and the fame, it is time to get on the right path now.

Well stated. No reason for him to not put one in the back of the net, well, unless he gets no service.

I think listing Wolff in the middle is interesting. Maybe it has something to do with his inability to actually finish.
