I certainly hope Liverpool doesn't play with two defensive midfielders next time arround. With Mascherano in the lineup, Xavi Alonso serves no purpose. He was dreadful today. Stevie G would have been a lot better in that role, and there might have been more good chances for the Reds.

anyone getting the feeling that Toronto FC will go winless this season, I guess we'll see how they play at home this weekend before making that prediction ::)

I doubt it, they have had a lot of turnover in the last two weeks. Once things get settled a little, they'll win a few. Probably won't get out of the East cellar, but they'll do well at home.

  4. Xavi was awful and left Liverpool with no midfield imagination, God that was frustrating. Chelsea deserved this one. Don't see Liverpool scoring two goals next week...

Toronto is run by Mo Johnston. Enough said.

Yesterday's game wasn't bad. I don't really get the appeal of Peter Crouch, and probably never will, but Liverpool really looked like they could have tied it up with a few missed chances.

Tonight's game will be shown in HD. I really like this fact. I wish Angel had his visa, but no biggie. It will be a fun game regardless.

Attention E.J. haters -- another goal for GAM in KC's 3-0 win Wednesday.
Reigning player of the week in MLS.
    Perhaps he is back?

As someone that could be described as such... I do hope so. While I have tossed him out of the Yanks picture, I would have no problem providing a Mea Culpa and waving my arms in support.

Johnson is back against the talent he sees in MLS, for some reason or another, he is a different player in the international game, he seems intimidated to play with the U.S. MNT and disappears in games, KC's second goal last night is a perfect example, he had the confidence to drive into the area and take on defenders, freeing up space for the goal to eventually happen, that isn't the type of thing you see him doing for the national team, then again, it isn't usually against a first-year franchise defense run by a complete moron (did I mention EJ is also a complete prick), here's me smiling every time his team gets its ass kicked :) :D ;D

I took the day off yesterday for some family stuff in the morning. By the afternoon, the missus took my daughter to a playgroup, so I dropped into my local to watch the match. Ended up hanging out with some Aussies and South Africans who had been drinking and watching the cricket for 6 hours. Those are some hard drinking people.

Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!

Love me some Australians. South Africans are tough bastards as well. At my high school we once had a South African HS rugby team stop in on their tour of England. They played a game in the gym which was a hybrid of rugby and basketball. All physical contact was allowed. If was funny as hell.
