Going back to the EPL for a second, who would have thought that half an hour after it appeared Chelsea was in control of the title race, everything would have twisted aound the other way.

That Chelsea-Arsenal game next weekend could be the last game in the championship race. United beats City the day before and the Gunners win, it's over.

I don't know that "in control" is the way to put it necessarily, but yeah, that one hurt. Nice work by Bolton, though, and Sammy the Earpiece in his final match as Wanderers manager.

Chelsea was up 2-1, and United down 2-0. It would have meant if Chelsea won out, including a win at home to United on May 9, the title would be staying at the Bridge.

Sammy's being talked about as the new man at Man City. I find the timing fishy though. If you knew two weeks ago he was gone, why not announce it either then, or two weeks from now after the season ends. There's something more behind this. Maybe the bungs of last year are coming back soon.

And with the team Chelsea's currently got healthy, none of that is a given. So yes, "in control of their own destiny," I suppose, but it's not like they'd have a lead.

But United are in arguably worse shape. They have no back line with Vidic and Ferdinand missing from the Everton game.

A backline of Brown, Heinze, O'Shea and Evra isn't one I'd trust at Chelsea.

I wouldn't trust that back line against any quality opponent, let alone Chelski.

Those four are the reason why United need to get those away goals back at Milan tomorrow. They tried to rest Ronaldo on Saturday until it was clear they needed him.

They need him to have his legs.

Meanwhile, it looks like Chelski and Liverpool are headed for extra time. Nice training ground free kick for the goal by the Reds.

    And we're off to PKs.

Reina with two stops in the first three Chelsea shots. Kuyt wins it for Liverpool in PKs.

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the Storm there's a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
    And you'll never walk alone.
    You'll never walk alone.

In four days, Chelsea's season has collapsed after promising so much.

They are now reduced to playing possible spoiler in the FA Cup final to stop Man Utd's treble attempt.
