What happened to Gerrard taking corners for the Reds? Pennant just ain't got it

 

Liverpool needed to take advantage when they had the upper hand in the first half. They haven't been as good after the break.

WTF -- didn't even go 3 minutes -- and Milan had a fucking substitution in extra time. WTF WTF WTF

 

Do Rae and Smythe have any ability to analyze??? Rafa's bitching about the time shortage and they're not picking it up

 

Did the ref lose this? Or did Rafa?
AC gets every call on 50/50s.
Scores on a handball.
Has to survive only 2:43 of injury time when 3 had been signalled and AC subbed in the middle of it.

Rafa uses a formation he'd never/rarely used this season.
Puts Pennant in charge of free kicks.
Waits until 75 to put on Crouch -- that's 30 minutes of being down a goal.
Keeps on useless Xavi Alonso and Mascherano, who is chewing up AC like Dentyne, goes off.
Hate to complain -- Rafa got Liverpool two CL finals, a CL trophy and an FA Cup. But this was not his best day.

 

Twoback -- I don't think the ref did them any favors, but Rafa's sins were worse today. Pennant was terrible and given incredible responsibility today; Gerrard is the captain and their best player. Crouch should have been in at the half.

 

Love it, back to the old way of giving out cups, taking it off the production stage on the field. Finally!

 

That is so much better than the stage on the field. I wish the EPL would go back to it.
