Hey, don't throw cold water on my dream. It's a small, humble dream, but it's a dream.

Just saw a story on SI.com that the A's owner wants to re-establish a franchise in Northern California.

It would be a new franchise, to make it 14 teams with seven in each division, and it would have its own stadium in a location to be determined, but not at San Jose State as the Earthquakes were before they moved to Houston.

In what has become a trend this evening, I'm just getting to the actual broadcast of the CL final. Why in God's name can't ESPN get Hi-Def cameras to these things? Seriously!

Just to catch up on a few things:
    1. Howard as number 1 sounds good to me! He's a Jersey Boy and, while playing for the MetroStars, lived a few blocks away. But, he's also damn good.

    2. Bob won't be in the booth, sadly. As GB-Hack points out, The Bruce is too busy blowing the doors off of other MLS teams.

    3. LAST NIGHT!!!! Wonderful. I think I'm still a bit buzzed from the exuberant time. It was like a damn party in the stadium. While these games are fun, getting those two quick goals, right in front of us no less, was an incredible occurrance. Wow. (Oh and Jozy is a FREAK. Africa WC, here he comes!)

    4. I didn't post last night as when I returned home, I promptly went to bed.

I am unaware if I was on television. I will be watching the recording so that I could relive the experience. It is my understanding that the viewing audience heard us berate Wynalda. I wonder how Wipe Out sounded.

That would be a great fit for DMB, I'm sure he'd get regular first team action in the SPL and CL.

Walter Smith is also a terrific manager for him to develop under.

Holy God, watching Inzaghi's goal again just confirmed that I will never, ever, ever root for Liverpool. Watch that back line lay down. Not one player even made an effort to recover, with nine minutes left in a 1-0 game. Fucking pathetic. Way to show up in the only trophy match you have all year, Reds.

1st ADD -- Also, that has to be the fastest rendition of YNWA ever. Like putting a 45 on 78. Or however that works, I don't know, I'm not old.

David Beckham recalled by England for the friendly against Brazil and qualifier against Estonia. Now anyone want to reconsider those "Washed up" statements?

Good for Becks, but if he's ready enough for international duty he should get his ass to MLS pronto.

I hope for the sake of MLS he doesn't suffer some career threatening injury in either of these contests.
