So far Bob Bradley has rotated the captain's armband-twice to Boca, once to Keller, once to Gooch. If Bradley elects a permanent captain, who do you think it should be?

Landon. He may not have the personality for the job, but he is so far and above our best player that he's the only choice.

LD might be the best player (and that's arguable about half the time), but I don't think he's got the right skill-set to be the captain. Frankly, I'm not sure who does.

In U-17 news, 13 of Haiti's players are MIA after a layover at JFK airport...

I don't know about that. Feilhaber's really impressed me, and Bradley's shown plenty of promise, too. And while I'm reserving judgment until they face some legitimate attackers, I like the way that Spector and Simek have joined the offense. Just a little more skillful on the ball than I'm used to seeing from U.S. defenders.

I like Bradley, but he's given the ball away too much for my liking and he has a tendency to drift a little with respect to spacing. I know that a lot of people love Benny, but I haven't seen it from him yet. Both have great instincts.

I saw this on another message board for RBNY supporters. But, I had to post it here:

Turns out it's easier to buy Metro gear in Iraq than it was here. ... It's a screen capture from a NBC news story about an Iraqi family watching President Maliqi on TV at home.

Was avoiding this thread until I was able to catch up with the El Salvador game. Webster's right about Bradley giving up the ball too much in this tournament. I've liked him better in previous matches. I still like Feilhaber's potential a lot. I'm pleased with how this has developed so far, except for Eddie Johnson getting so much pine time. If Bradley didn't want to play him, he should have allowed him to keep his momentum with KC.

If I were to nominate anyone, it would be Carlos Bocanegra. He seems to have a strong influence on the team from the back.

And maybe he he could get Dempsey to shoot the ball when he's through on goal....That last 10 minutes was a lot more nervewracking for the U.S. than it had to be.

It wouldn't have been nervewracking at all if Twellman could have made a shot early on. The U.S. should have been up at least 2-0 in the first half.

Sure, but if you're up 3-0 with 10 minutes to go, the games dead and the Panamanians get back to harassing the ref instead of trying to score.

I agree about Boca. He does indeed seem to have a real organizational presence at the back. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised, considering his play for Fulham this past season.

As far as Twellman is concerned, I expect to see Johnson up top on Thursday against Canada. You would think TT would be banging them in on his home ground.
