    Because I'm a giver...

    Beasley's Press Conference
    Walter Smith's Press Conference

Pictures of Beasley sporting that wonderful blue kit.

SIDE NOTE: The new kit looks awful. It truly is ugly. I don't know what they were thinking. I will await the arrival of their away and third kits before making my Beasley <number?> kit.

Holy krap, 30 minutes in, Mexico leads Brazil 2-0.

And 60 minutes later, the score is the same (thanks to a Beasley-esque miss by a Mexican player near the end). So much for the El Tri Crisis, eh?

Chile won 3-2 in the group's other match, beating Ecuador in a brazen act of Grand Theft Futbol. Ecuador dominated for long stretches but couldn't hold a 2-1 halftime lead. Chile's second goal never should've happened ... Ecuador had a perfectly good 1v1 break called back for a bogus offside and Chile scored directly afterward (sound familiar?).

Big, big day tomorrow. We'll find out if USA, Jr., can stand up to all-singing, all-dancing, all-conquering Argentina and frustrate not only the anti-Americanistas but Insecure SoccerFan, who demanded Bradley take the full "A" squad (even though he couldn't -- thanks FIFA!).

I am very much looking forward to tonight's fixture. I have confidence that the US will give a good game. The youth will add a special element to it.

I don't mind that Bradley didn't take the A-Team. It isn't like B.A. enjoys flying. (I'm sorry, I just had to.)

Mexico got lucky against a really soft Brazil team. The sad part is that Mexican fans will gloat and thump their chest as if they did something special.

According to the wonderful people at US Soccer.com:
8:45 PM ET - Live on Telefutura and GolTV

And, here is Ives' suspected line-up (and he has been rather good at these recently):

    ----------------------Howard------------------------

    ---------------Conrad-----------DeMerit--------------
    Wynne--------------------------------------Bornstein

    ------------Feilhaber--------------Clark---------------
    Nguyen------------------------------------------Mapp

    ---------------Twellman--------Johnson-------------

    This line-up is extremely interesting.

    What a goal by Castillo.

I love watching the games in Spanish -- as soon as he scored, I'm immediately thinking whether the announcer will describe it as a "gol" or a "golazo". It was called a golazo, with about 20 more shouts (I believe that the count was about 12 golazos and 8 gols).

    How so, BBAM?

You should be able to at least get Telefutura. Or there must be a bar nearby that has GolTV.

Pastor -- Is Timmy playing? I thought that Kasey and Guzan were the only two keepers?

As much as I hate Mexico, they did do something special - they beat Brazil. Beating a soft Brazil team is still beating Brazil.

No Telefutura. Re. a bar: Have to look into that.
