I know what you mean about the Crew. That team has almost no talent, has no resemblance of an offense and has seemingly no rhythm out there. And you're right, Sigi deserves a lot of credit for how that team has hung with DC United the last two games. But it is depressing. I would so love to see the Crew come back to some sort of prominence.

Is it me, or is Rozental one of the strangest looking players out there?

If he went on the Letterman show, you know what David would call him.

    On another note:

Saw the Cosmos documentary yesterday. Good stuff. The only gripe is that after pele's retirement, they pretty much accelerated the ending. Hilarious at times, always interesting.

And man, that Chinaglia is a piece of work. You dominated a league that was severely diluted by expansion in an era that produced few viable domestic stars to go with all the past-their-prime foreign stars. yay.

Gers season starts on the 30th. I've got my gear all lined up!

Last night's RBNY v Crew match was good for RBNY fans, like me. Henderson is definitely past his prime, but he did get that goal. Buddle's through ball was slick.

Crass -- that was the loosest of loose goals by Henderson.

If you should never get beat near post, you really should never get beat near post by a slowly moving ball.

I definitely agree. Hendo's poor first touch put him in a bad position to take the shot. He's lucky he scored.

Which makes him good enough to work for ESPN.

Hell of a finish between Os Rapidos and the Gringo Goats.

  9. Hell of a finish. The Goats showed lot of heart w/o Razov.
Bob Bradley has done a superb job to have chivas de USA in the playoff race. Bradley has to be the early leader for coach of the year.

Big weekend feature on the US Open Cup moving on the AP wire. Not bad considering it's just an overview of what it is.

Since he's had so much success in the NFL, the Browns owner is eyeing Aston Villa...
