Did I miss the discussion on Bill Simmons' method for picking his EPL team...

  2. Impressive that all goals came from the 54th on. Did RSL lose a man for every goal scored.

No, but it was the prototype game where a team goes down to 10 early on. RSL fought hard for the 0-0 draw, but when the first goal was scored, their effort dipped dramatically.

I was more impressed with El Lay slapping around United 5-2 in DC. Four games do not a slump make, but this is the exact wrong time to be coming back to the pack if you're Piotr Nowak.

  5. key match wednesday night in the Western Conference. Fake Salt Lake and the Gals meet. Both teams are on 29 points, three behind Colorado, who plays FU Dallas.

    I'd forgotten about Simmons.
One more reason to celebrate Timmy H. shutting out Spurs.

Sorry Inky, I've been out and about and I'm just getting used to these new boards. I'll basically say that Celtic is shit out of luck. This is a very bad draw for them.

It may not be the worst scenario but it is pretty damn close.

Sticking with SPL: Rangers are a lot of fun to watch this year. The team is incredibly offensive. Sure, Prso, Buffel, (basically anyone but Boyd) can't finish. But they have had chance after chance after chance. It really is exciting to watch.

In the world of the EPL, I'm glad Howard is performing well. The guy is a class individual.

In the world of MLS, it seems as though some people have bothered to take a look. DeadSpin.com has a typical EuroSnob write about his soccer love and in this one he admits that maybe, just maybe, MLS isn't too shitty to watch. However, in saying as much, he still has to put it down.

I hate watching the MLS games with the football lines. The Revs game on Sunday was so distracting because you could barely see the soccer lines.

Don't tell the Bhoys, but I've actually enjoyed watching Rangers more than Celtic so far this season.

Webster, you are so correct. NFL lines suck on a monstrous level. Unfortunately, they will be there for quite some time.

Celtic has no offense thus far. They have just paid a hefty fee to acquire a new forward, so maybe he'll help them out.

And it will continue to be so until the Revs split from the Krafts.

Of course, they'd need an owner with a stadium plan and plenty of money for players.

Jan VofH should be a good buy. Unlike Kuyt, he actually scores once in a while.

I was hoping Wee Gordon might move Nakamura into central midfield (his best position) now that Petrov is off to Aston Villa, but it probably won't happen with the Gravesen signing.
