  1. Hammers are team of the week. What a pair of pick ups

What the fuck is going on with West Ham?

Something stinks here. No way do the Hammer waltz in and sign two highly sought after Argies without some outside help. I think Chelsea is the invisible hand here.

What do you mean? Do you think Chelsea already has a gentleman's agreement to buy those two after this season for a higher price?

    Because it wasn't mentioned already...

Beasley was loaned out to Manchester City. I like the move, and hope that it will help Beasley get out of whatever funk he's in.

So this was all it took to set Zidane off.

I read that Gooch was linked to Real Madrid before the transfer deadline. Anyone know if there was any truth or just typical transfer window fiction?

    Two things.

First, classic response from Matterazzi. Should be inducted into the "Yo Mamma" Hall of Fame immediately for that one.

Second, West Ham are reporttedly being looked at by an Iranian investor, Kia Joorabchian, who was the president of Media Sports Investment, the company that represents the two Argentinians in question. While no official bid is officially forthcoming, you would think it wouldn't take too much to connect the dots here.

I'm sure that there is nothing fishy about: 1) the two transfers to West Ham; and 2) the financing of Media Sports Investment.

  9. anybody see DeRosario's midfield chip over Zach Thornton. Hopefully, this link works...

Inexcusable effort on the GK's part. Catch it with two hands or knock it down in front. Nobody is near you, no reason to fear a rebound goal, so why try to tip it over the crossbar?

Hardly the "dirty terrorist" comment, huh? If Zidane responded for that, France deserved to lose.

Marco has changed his story about five times now. I'm not buying it.

I'm with the lip-readers who insisted it had something to do with Zidane's mother.
