For what it's worth that bigot Aragones is pretty much gone as Spain's coach after the Northern Ireland loss. Can't believe he still had it after calling Henry everything under the sun in a televised practice, but better late than never.

But the FIFA rankings are a joke.

(Or have they been revamped yet again?)

What's the big deal? You play 4-8 extra games every two years against some lesser countries. Allows the bigger teams to experiment with new players or tactics, makes a few Euro for everyone and still leaves open the possibility of the huge upset or tie.

Celtic v Man U is on the Deuce at 2:30. That is nice. I'll sit back in my office and watch it.

Sadly, only ESPN Deportes is carrying the Chelsea v FC Werder Bremen fixture at 12:30.

I need to look up whether I have this channel. I don't have the digital cable in my office, so if Deportes is on that, which is likely, I'm SOL.

Real Madrid v. Lyon at 5:00 on ESPN Classic.

I'm taping the Red Devils, but hope to catch the second half live at the gym near my work.

The Bruce talks to the NY Times. As usual, he pulls no punches.

  9. Big game for Real, but I like the direction this team is playing with under Capello. Van da Man had his breakout game this weekend (hat trick) and Cannavaro has anchored what was once a shoddy back line. Real has the toughest group though, with Lyon and Dynamo Kiev.

Manchester United will be w/o Cristiano Ronaldo, but will get Wayne Rooney back.

Damn, I do like the Celtic kit for this match. Might have to get that vertical striped jersey.

Pastor, does your buddy's shop that one available?

Add: ManU is flying today. Celtic was lucky to get a 1-0 lead before a bad PK was award to ManU. Now it's 1-1.

Unfortunately, I am missing this match. I'm very very unhappy. Today went from a quiet day to a bloody storm.
