Also, I forgot to add: This weekend's Ranger v. Celtic fixture has been adjusted. No longer will it be shown at 10:00 AM EST on Saturday. The time is now 7:30 AM EST on Saturday.

Hutton with the goal! Rangers up 1-nil. Oh I hope to see a few more Rangers put the ball in the back of the old onion bag.

I don't understand the whole bung thing. Is it managers taking money from agents when the agents get a cut of the transfer money? Or is it agents who faciliate a transfer and get an additional under the table fee from the buying and/or selling club? Both? More?

Webster, I'm not so sure as well. I just know that my boys in light blue put in a second to clean up the match and take home the win.

Now, if only I can watch my boys in red do it tonight.

I'll be there. Going to the Unos off of Route 3 and then to the Swamp for a couple of pre-game pops in the parking lot.

I'll have my grill running. So I'll be departing my office soon to shoot on over.

Also, I'll have to talk to you and your guys about a fantastic Chinese restaurant near the new stadium.

Yes ... I think ... I've always understood to be the manager who gets a cut to try and steer transfers a certain way, but I'm not as well-versed as I should be.

The Bruce: Doesn't need to apologize ... needs to focus on getting Os Toros Rojos into the playoffs. Way to waste those games in hand, fellas.

Svennis: The UK papers would have you believe he's a cross between Benny Hill and Cobra Commander, but his resume puts a lot of the other supposed contenders for the U.S. job to shame. Two European titles (UEFA Cup at Goteborg, Euro Cup Winner's Cup at Lazio) and three other finals appearances, a scudetto at Lazio, a handful of Coppa Italia titles, quarterfinal appearances at WC 2002, Euro 2004 and WC 2006 and five competitive losses in 67 matches in charge.

Do I think he's the man for the U.S.? In a word, hell no! If nothing else, he's bad value for the money (unless we want to start playing Mexico in L.A. again). However, don't think that his savaging at the hands of the British press gives the full measure of his abilities.

Pekerman would be a fine choice -- good results, and he could straighten out the mess that is the U.S. youth international system. Klinsy wouldn't be bad, either. MLS-based options seem to be the Arena coaching tree (Bradley, Sarachan), Fat Sigi (fat chance), Frank Yallop (who couldn't even get Canada past the first qualifying round) and Piotr Nowak.

As long as Gulati doesn't hire Carlos Quieroz, we'll be off to a good start.

There couldn't have been 2,000 people at the RBNY-Revs match. Funny thing, it used to be that the visiting team's fans got seats behind one of the goals. Now, the new team policy is to place them in the second deck (which is almost always closed) and in the corner. So, there is this massive stadium which is basically empty, and they make the 15 fans in Revs gear sit in Siberia.

Yeah, that was some weird shit. I understand putting the DC fans up there, but Revs fans?

And what is the deal with starting Taylor Graham? Oh the humanity.

  11. Pekerman would be fine, until the most crucial game you desperately need to win. Then he would sub out your game-controlling midfielder, your most accomplished forward and start playing conservatively.

Then you'll lose, like the Argies did to Germany...

I'm not sure why they would go after Queiroz. He's a good second-banana, but put a mic in front of him and he's liable to say something stupid.

Remember the stint he had at Real? Goodness me, what a disaster.
