With the recent Robinson gaffe, stumbled across this on YouTube. Some of the best OGs around.
No audio calls, just some shitty tune. One of the fields looks like the grass at Gillette.

Boy, who'd want to be a goalkeeper?

Wouldn't have been complete without Djimi Traore. Off the top of my head, though, I can think of three that should've been on there:

    1) Agoos, USA v. Portugal -- 'nuff said.
    2) Pat Onstad (San Jose) putting a two-fisted punch into his own net.
    3) Yuta Minami (Kashiwa Reysol) losing his grip on an overhanded throw and having the ball roll into the net.

That clip is mind-numbing to watch after a while.

So, the return leg in MLS is upon us.

    RBNY (0) in DC (1)
Chicago (1) in New England (0)
    Colorado (1) in Dallas (2)
    Chivas (2) in Houston (1)

A one goal differential in all games says to me that they will be pretty tight. I'm looking forward to the trip to DC on Sunday.

Sonny Guadarrama, a Texan who has played U20 and U18 for the US, will suit up for Mexico's U20 side...

Four return legs, four great matches. Eat it, single table snobs! :D

    That article is wrong.
He and his brother both played at Campbell University (yes, the Fighting Camels), not at UNC.
Sonny left after his freshman year and signed with Santos Laguna of the MFL.
Willy (his older brother) led the NCAA with 21 goals in '05.

Last night was a late evening. The bus ride back featured the fantastic movie Phantasm.

I had a great time, but damn was it disappointing. When DC scored, it felt like getting punched in the gut.

The MetroBulls looked great. Series of quick bad decisions (Parke not picking up his man, Wynne going to cover when he didn't need to and leaving Gomez open and Conway doing his best Fat Tony imitation by leaving the near post open) killed them. They needed a positive result from the first game.

The big issue -- do you dump Amado?

They are definitely dumping Amado. I was talking with someone that knows what is on the mind of those running the team and about a month ago, he had said, "They're trading Amado. They don't want him." I asked, "For what?" and recieved, "Some young guys. It doesn't matter."

I like the four-man backline that they currently have. Then you have the idea of bringing in Reyna, which would then expedite Guevarra's departure.

I think the team will be fine next year.
