Oh absolutely. It makes total sense. But I'm definitely in the crowd that thought little Groot was original Groot. It had never even occurred to me that he wasn't until this came up. And I definitely took a little relief in Groot's death when the new one sprouted because I thought it was still him, as silly as that sounds to say about a CGI talking tree in a comic book movie.

I'm not sure where to put this, but this trailer is all kinds of awesome.

Red band trailer for Deadpool 2. This offers more of the plot and the conflict with Cable...and more f-bombs.

Never a good sign to see a tentpole film moved from a November release to February.

Agreed. The spin they are trying is that it is the same time of year they released previous successes Deadpool and Logan, but it seems more like the movie is going to be a mess and we're going to get another reboot, this time with the integration of the X-Men into the MCU.

Regardless, I'm not optimistic about Dark Phoenix at all. New Mutants could be interesting, though part of that is the idea of a horror film set in the X-Men universe. Perhaps it won't be as compelling if Venom comes out first and does something similar. (Admittedly, I'm being too lazy to look up when Venom will be out.)

I recently watched a 20/20 (or it may have been 60 minutes) on this cult and all the crazy shit surrounding it. The fiancee and I are cult geeks and will watch anything about Jonestown, Scientology, Waco, etc. This Nxvim or whatever seemed right up that alley.

Allison Mack was featured on that show and it was a total "holy shit I haven't thought about her in years" moment.

  11. So how many movies is Infinity Wars going to be?
I'm tempted to go see it, but I if this ends up being the first part of trilogy series I'll probably wait.

It won't be, but I do think it is going to be part one of two. Initially, Avengers 3 and 4 were Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2. I think they only changed the title of the fourth movie to try to throw people off.

I'm expecting a cliffhanger ending, perhaps just Thanos snapping his fingers.
