I was just checking the thread to see if anybody had posted the new trailer for Falcon and the Winter Solider, which premieres March 21. About half of that is new, including the big one you saved for last.

I've always loved those moments when watching a movie or television show when my brain suddenly connects where I've seen an actor or heard that actor's voice before. Today, I happened to flip by an episode of Deep Space 9 with the recurring Klingon character Kor, who was on three episodes. I noticed something familiar about his voice that hadn't struck me when I heard it before. Then it hit me. He was the voice of Apocalypse on X-Men: The Animated Series! Because one was a role that came with makeup and prosthetics that covered his entire face and the other was a voice acting role, I didn't know what he looked like. I went to IMDB.com to see if I was right and discovered that the actor was John Colicos, who also played Baltar on the original Battlestar Galactica series in 1978-79.

Yeah, I'm a fucking geek, but that was fun, dammit!

My daughter wants to play Genshin.

We have a good Chromebook and a Switch.

What do I need to get her for her birthday?

I wouldn't be going to the theater for this, but I will be watching on HBO Max.

Thanks to the MCU, my kid is really into comic book heroes right now, but he’s basically only ever read one actual print edition comic book (Spider Man 2099 #1, one of my faves).

He’s almost 9, and at his age, my dad used to take me to the local newsstand to get comic books once a week. Due to COVID, I’m looking to pick up a subscription or two for mail delivery to keep him excited about reading instead of tv and video games.

Any recommendations on kid-appropriate books that are good right now? I figure Spider Man is usually pretty kid-friendly. Any others we should pick up?
