Agreed. He didn't cover his real reasoning very well, did he?

Just posted about this on the Last Movie You Watched thread. Wait until the sequel gets made. Dune: Part One isn’t worth the time on its own.

Just saw it. It was good. It was better than David Lynch’s trash movie (which Lynch has disowned). It shortcutted several plot points from the novel that are key to plot development.

It was not as good as the SciFi Channel miniseries at the same point of the story.

And I tried, but I still don’t buy Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides.

They never should have killed it. Is an Age of Apocalypse adaptation too much to hope for?

it was Wolverine and the X-Men that teased an Age of Apocalypse adaptation for its second season, but that never happened. I think the AoA comics might have been after the 90s cartoon.

Concurrent with the show. AoA came out in 1995; the TV show was 1992-1997.

Thanks. I was being too lazy to look it up. I knew it was close. I would love to see them take a shot at AoA.

I think they go with something else early, but I'd love to see the end of the first season lead into AoA in season 2. And with this on D+, I assume it'll definitely get a second season.

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing it, but I wonder if this is also a sign that the X-Men are even farther away from appearing in the MCU than we thought.

Star Trek: Prodigy is pretty watchable. The animation is lush and gorgeous.
