You're pretty judgmental for a guy who claims to hate judgmental assholes.

Maybe some evidence of his homophobia would help the rest of us to agree with you. Do you have any?

If Tebow has a sense of humor he should announce that Reggie White came to him in a dream and told him to play QB in the NFL

I would want Tim T. to marry my sister, but wouldn't want to do guy things with him.

Tim Tebow will be signed this week. You heard it here first.

A PGA golfer will shoot a 59 in a tournament before an NFL team signs Tebow.

Read Simmons' quote. He never claims Tebow is out of football because of Christianity.

Yeah, but he did claim Tebow was 'picked on' for it by the media, whatever that means. I recall Tebow being picked on because he is not good at throwing a football, but not about his religion.

The perception that Tebow helped perpetuate (
) that nobody believes in him and the "Tebowmania" persecution notion are what are causing him not to find a job.

He's a project backup. But all the hype the conservative media creates about this notion of him being persecuted by the liberal media makes him kryptonite to teams. The last thing you want is a media circus. And what's even worse is a media circus surrounding a player who won't even likely play an important role on the team.

It's one thing to have an off-field distraction when he's an elite receiver (a T.O. in his prime) or when he's averaging 20 rebounds (Rodman in his prime). But it's another thing when he's a guy vying to be your No. 3 QB.

So you don't recall Tebow being picked on/questioned/mocked once for religion? Never heard it come up?

    Two thoughts.

    1. Yes, that much media circus around a back up is ridiculous and a major reason he can't find a job. Too much hassle.
    2. A lot of athletes use the "everyone is against me" line. Jordan made a career out of it. I remember Steve Smith had a magazine clip on his locker that called him a wasted draft pick.

I'm sure you can find somebody pick on him over it, but it seems like the media storyline has been that he's a nice guy and culturally a rare find in sports, but can he play?

It's the right-wing media that's sort of hitched its wagon to the nation that Tebow is being persecuted because he's a Christian despite a long history of devout athletes who have played in the NFL and had varying relationships with the media and the league in general.

Reggie White was a beloved figure and he was a minister. Kurt Warner was not only respected well enough by the media and the league, he became part of the media.

I mean, what part of "His throwing motion is too long, his mechanics too erratic and accuracy too inconsistent" implies that religion has anything to do with his problem?

The guy is too big to play his position.
It's one thing to have core strength, he's got Popeye arms.
And his arm strength is still well below NFL standard.
Willful pride - not accepting your lot or that you are better suited to other North American leagues - is also a sin.
