It's funny because the French are the last to find value in packaged camp. You'd think they would murder something as lame as this.

I have seen a few Lewis movies in the last few years. He's definitely one of those guys who makes you ask WTF.

    Jerry Lewis & France.

    David Hasselhoff & Germany.

Are there other weird example of this? Like, is Scott Baio huge in Belgium?

Because it wasn't funny at all.

This town is going nuts today. Grocery store was packed this morning. Went to the mall with my brother and it was packed, everyone shopping before the game. Now downtown and I'm at a huge bar and it's nearly packed and people are swarming in Broncos and Patriots gear. It's nuts.

Remember, an "older" style isn't by definition bad.

If some guy burst onto the tennis scene --- let's call him Efan Stedberg --- who really didn't have much in the way of groundstrokes but would relentlessly come to the net to finish points, would we criticize him for playing an "old" way, or celebrate that something new is out there?

Great. Browns play at 4 p.m. today so Cleveland can't watch Tebow/Patriots.

Here's the thing. Hasselhoff starred on American TV and became a local star in Germany as a singer.

Jerry Lewis - along with Dean Martin, and then on his own - was for more than a decade the biggest motion picture box office draw in the world.

I'm not saying he's bad, or anything like it.

I'm saying that thanks to his coach he plays in a modern variation of an ancient system, and so has much more in common with Red Grange than Michael Vick.

I want to take a nap. I figure as long as I wake up by 6:30 I can catch the only time of the game that matters.

I'm sorry I never saw their nightclub act.

I'm also sorry I saw some of those movies.

I'm going to check out this documentary now. The French and Lewis is one of the weirdest phenomena in the history of show business.

This country venerates Maurice Chevalier. The French think he's a joke. So it goes.
