    He's a winner, though.

The statistical measurements that apply to others don't apply to him.

    Winners win.

I fear that Brady Quinn would make Tim Tebow look like a pinpoint passer.

Yeah, anyone who thinks Brady Quinn is the answer must have "What is a surefire way to lose this weekend?" on the card in Carnac's hermetically-sealed envelope.

I hold out a glimmer of hope that Tebow is plagued by a major loss of confidence, which is something he can get back. He might have just sucked balls the last two weeks because that's what his ability level is. That's the leading possibility, in fact. But it sure looks like he's rattled as hell, feeling the pressure, looking like a different guy, whatever you want to call it -- kind of like the Eli Manning "body language" debate of a few years ago.

Tebow has always struck me as a pretty programmable unquestioning person/athlete, so if John Fox can tap into that side maybe we'll see the guy who knows his limits and colors within the lines. Against the Steelers, if he can avoid turnovers and make them go long distances, that could work even if he scuffles for three quarters.

Gonna be a lot of hate flowing on this board Sunday. Most of it sad and pathetic.

He would never get separation coming out of breaks against safeties. Just because he is a strong, tough guy doesn't translate to being a good, blocker, route runner or has hands but I am sure he will give a great speech telling us how hard he will work to learn and get better.

Guaranteed he breaks out the "work harder" speech Sunday.

The reason he gains 20 yards when he breaks contain is he can run.

He's a 4.7 combine 40 runner, but I bet if he played a position where the 40 was a better barometer, he'd by a 4.65 guy, like a Shockey or an Owen Daniels.

Plus, he is reported to have a 38.5-inch vertical leap, which is outstanding.

As a tight end, he'd be an above-average athlete.

Because I was in Ponte Vedra Beach last Sunday, which is the closest thing Tebow has to a home town, I saw the entire Chiefs-Broncos game. His confidence is shot. He and/or the coaches so overreacted to the four picks he threw in Buffalo, Tebow just wouldn't let go of the ball. Even though the Pats smoked Denver, Tebow looked pretty good, in the flow and capable of making the passes in the game plan. Two weeks later, the opposite.
If that's his problem, then Tebow is doomed. If it's Fox, he should know better. He went all in. Can't take that bet back.
