All-purpose, running Tim Tebow sucks/is a deity thread!

There are a lot of great athletes that can't run routes or catch. Would Pat White make a great wr? How about Ronald Curry? Troy Williamson was a great athlete whoi sucked at wr. Matt Jones is the perfect example of a physical specimen and did not translate to making it as a wr.

Breaking containment doesn't equate to beating linebackers or safeties and if he is having issues reading defenses at position he has played his whole life, he will have issues understanding his to beat defenses and run the correct route.

His best chance is as a wildcat QB on short yardage situations.

Will probably see what shakes out soon because it's looking more like be won't be playing QB if he doesn't learn how to pass.

. . . or to read a defense swiftly enough for it to matter.

    Walk, chew gum, etc.

You never know until you try him. Two tight ends broke Kellen Winslow's receiving yards by a tight end record this year. One was a college basketball player who didn't play football until he had used all of his college basketball eligibility. He played one year of college ball and in his second year in the NFL, Jimmy Graham was a more prolific pass-catching TE than any TE who had played before him in the NFL (but not quite as prolific as Gronkowski).

Interestingly, Gronkowski's combine 40 was only slightly faster than Tebow (4.68) and his vertical leap was less.

Matt Jones was caught in a car cutting up cocaine with a credit card. His drug problem had more to do with his being shat out of the league than any skill deficiency.

And Antwaan Randle El just called to inform that not all college QBs fail to transition to receiver.

And Brad Smith has contributed more to the league as a WR than he probably would have as a QB.

I'm curious about the Steelers thing. Are they actually a hated team, on par with the Yankees, Cowboys, Duke, Notre Dame, etc., etc.?

I've never had any issue with the Steelers, nor do I know anybody who really cares about them one way or the other. Maybe it's an AFC-only thing.

I would say it is more of a board thing.
