Ah well ... Fun fun year. Belichick succeeded where Dick LeBeau failed, figuring out the option and keeping guys home. Tebow exits with a very good first season as a starter, having improved quite a bit from the Miami game to season's end (notable work in its own right).

I figure the zone read and the option play are over for the most part, maybe gimmicks but not staples, but I do hope there's a way Tebow can be that kind of athlete at QB.

 

If Tebow can start making the throws allowed by the defense stopping the option, he'll prosper, because that will put the option back in play. If not, not. I agree with you LTL. I think the question is if Tebow can keep improving. There's no doubt he did, considerably.
