Schefter, who has strong sources within the Broncos organization: Tebow tore cartilage in the first rib where it attaches to his sternum, bruised his lung and had fluid buildup in his chest.

Did they drain the fluid by piercing his side with a lance?

Wetzel's podcast addresses Tebow as a tight end/H-back

Brian, what would have happened if Tebow had gone to DeVry instead of Florida?

If Tebow had gone to DeVry, he'd have elevated the plumbling profession to "status job."

What would have happened if Tebow debated labor and ecomonics with Ragu instead of Fenian and Cranberry?

If Tebow would have gone to Ole Miss, he would have solved unemployment (see above) so I'm sure he'd have no problem discussing economics.

And he'd shoot down Ragu's famously long posts with one-word answers that would be an epiphany for the rest of us.

If Tebow was a tree, what kind would he be?

He does. But the anti-Tebow crowd, for whatever reason, doesn't want him to have the chance. It's one thing to offer the opinion that he's not the best QB in the league. It's another to be openly rooting for him to fail just to prove some preconceived notion about how the position should be played.

If you are pro life you really do not stand a chance to be rooted for by the majority.

So even as the NFL continues to pass rules to protect passers and pass receivers to encourage passing to the point where records are falling at an alarming rate, it makes sense to have a guy at quarterback who doesn't pass well?

And if you think there's a future for quarterbacks who are primarily runners, check today's Tebow injury story. And check the longevity of bruising 235-pound running backs. Do you really want your guy who is responsible for reading defenses and calling plays to take that kind of punishment over the course of a season/career?

The point has been, the gimmick Denver came up with this year has no long-term future. Fox has acknowledged that, saying it was a "bridge" to Tebow becoming a conventional QB.

And there was very little evidence this year that Tebow can become an effective conventional QB. It's possible, but unlikely.
