    Good take, hatch.

I agree, I think GSP will come back stronger. He's too good.

That's very much the abridged version. If you listen to the show Serra went on for, like, 15 minutes about what an asshole he thinks Matt Hughes is.

Outstanding work, Mr. This makes my night.

Hughes has never been someone I care much for, even though I respect him.

I stumbled upon this download link on an MMA forum.

Matt Serra on, "Bubba the Love Sponge".

It's a pretty good interview. Serra's got a good personality on him. He's actually funny and has a ton of charisma. He's very engaging. As an interview he's up there with Rampage, well almost, in terms of charisma. The segment is 30 minutes long and Serra is good throughout.

Tonight is the first step in what the UFC is looking at as a long term plan to truly go global. Tonight the UFC return to the UK for the first time in five years as they promote UFC:70 from Manchester. The card will air on PPV in the UK and free on Spike TV in the US.

Steve Bunce, one of the UK's leading boxing promoters, wrote a short piece about it today.

And, again, the question is whether or not AP will move copy on this.

That was the first time in about 13 years of watching MMA that I was actually worried someone was dead.
I cannot believe how hard Cro Cop was hit. And, it was the perfect spot, too. Plus, I'm not even mentioning the grotesque way his leg/ankle folded up underneath his body when he fell.
    Good God!
Dana White HAS to be annooyed with all of the upsets. He had some big plans for Couture vs. Cro Cop (huge PPV numbers) and Hughes vs. GSP (in Canada) and those immediate plans are out the window. I'm not calling this an upset, but to the average fan it will be: things are looking good for Quinton Jackson. Chuck better watch out.

Yeah, Dana White is going to have to start making better matches, so you don't get the Serra and Gonzaga stuff. Whew! That's a lot of money down the drain.

I'm sad now. Hate to see Cro Cop lose like that. Ah, well. It happens.

I think last night showed why MMA will struggle with some people. Two good matches with lots of action, while the Arlovski match was a major snoozer as was the fourth bout. They build up the sport showing all the KOs on Spike, but then on a live event you have a major bout that was as paint-drying level boring.

Plus, I think people might have a difficult time stomaching how it's okay to land punches on a prone, obviously unconscious person. Yes, I know Gonzaga was just acting on instinct but the average fans just tuning in won't understand that. That said, the ref did a superb job getting there as quickly as he could.

    Yeah, Arlovski match sucked.

The prone punching thing is tough, it's true. That type of thing happens with boxing, but it's not as obvious (or prone).
