Sorry to hear that — always a tough decision. Try to remember the fun and good times of the past 15 years with her.

Since we passed the "give him three months to feel like he's a member of the family" milestone, he's doing great. We can go in the backyard without the leash, and he will run and play like crazy --- staying in his yard the whole time.

His dog park behavior is odd. On a leash in the neighborhood, he wants to meet and play with most dogs he meets. Unleashed at the dog park --- with two dozen dogs around, some of whom trying to initiate a game with him --- he just stands around. Or lies around.

Random here, but I finally decided to give that Pretty Litter that's being advertised all the time a shot for my cats. I'll never go back to the old clumping clay stuff. It really is a miracle product. Scoop the poop, stir the litter, replace after a month. Very little odor. It's $25 a bag, but it lasts two months. I was essentially paying the same price for a two-month supply of Scoop Away. And the cats seem to like not dragging the clay litter everywhere when they get out of the box. Was a little concerned about transitioning because they're older, but it's not been an issue. Highest recommendation if you have feline critters.

We just got Houston on May 8.
Wild child Aussie Cattle mutt at 10 weeks now. He’s given our 4-yr-old Aussie Terrier a new buddy to play with and they just started play fighting after a week of the older one (Artoo) growling at him and walking away.

We adopted this girl today. She looks like a miniature version of the dog we lost a little over a year ago.

I walked out on my back porch at 5 a.m.; I have a motion light; there was a possum in front of my truck; it hit the ground in a spread eagle, then when it gathered itself, it took off as hard as it could waddle. I doubled over belly laughing to the point of tears.
Nothing else the rest of the day mattered.
    I like animals.

I love fall fishing with a mutt about as much as anything I ever loved on this rotten mudball called Earth.

747/856 HAS to be the Group of Death in the bracket. Come to think of it, NPS needs to do a One Shining Moment video to hype the matchups.
