I read the posts on here, which pretty much led to me not catching up on the show after I missed an episode. Part of me wants to go back and watch the end, just so I can see why this show pissed people off. But part of me doesn't give a damn about it.

I'm willing to give it a shot and see if they've learned anything from the criticism of last season.

All the arrogant interviews the show runner has given since last season indicate no.

I am out not because they didn't give us an answer but because the answer was the only reason that I didn't drop the show sooner. There were some very well acted scenes but the overall story line had so many holes that I don't think that it is possible to have a resolution which doesn't piss me off.

If they wrapped up the mystery and started with a clean slate, there remained the possibility that the show could build on what worked the first season.

Yeah, you can't build an entire promotional campaign around "Who Killed Rosie Larsen?" and then not answer the question. Most of the people who gave a shit at the end of Season 1 don't care anymore.

This has always been my thought: If they answered the question who killed Rosie Larson, there'd be no season 2. Don't count me among those po'd at how the season ended. I know me & the Mrs. are looking forward to it. Now about all that rain and slow pace ...

But didn't they promise to reveal who it was in the run-up to the show? I seem to remember that being a big selling point.

Yes, and they could always deal with a new murder in Season 2. In the original Danish series, the first case was "solved" — or at least the murderer was revealed — at the end of season 1.
