AMC's The Killing

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by KYSportsWriter, Apr 3, 2011.

  1. The show runner told them to.

I'm still watching the train wreck. Things that pissed me off this week: Why did the two detectives never ask the kid with the Manga tattoo where he was driving Rosie to on the bike? That could have saved a lot of hassle at the reservation. As far as the Native American aspect...I keep thinking...are they really going there with this? I mean, for as progressive of a channel AMC thinks it is, the hole setup is rank with racism.

At least if they killed Holder they had the foresight (and the show runner had the zest for realism) to record it via telecommunication.

Because if you're going to kill an agent of the United States government, you're going to want to put that beating on a phone call to another agent of the U.S. government.

Those natives aren't just evil, they are maniacally stupid.

One thing that I do love about 'The Killing' is the relentless media bashing.

I'm really gonna be pissed if they killed Holder. He's the only thing that provides anything that comes close to humor in this dour show.

I tuned in for 5 minutes Sunday night.

I'm so glad I crossed this show off my must-watch list.

Hope someone dies on Sunday so I can feel like something has happened in 1.75 seasons.

Anyone else trying to figure out how Linden goes from being feted at a well-attended going-away party and being begged to stay on, to an ostracized and suspected member of her department in two weeks time?
And she has no trusted colleagues on the force to bounce things off of?
If the whole thing was a conspiracy, why not let her go and have Holder handle it? The Larsen family stuff has done nothing for me all season, I figure if you ff'd through those scenes you wouldn't miss anything.
Right now the show is Vietnam 1969 to me, I've invested too much time to just bail on it, the best thing I can hope for is to take something away from it. Maybe I'll study chemistry when it's on and half-watch it.

There's no way they could have mapped out this show all the way to the end. It's seriously preposterous but I need to know who the killer is.

I think this might turn out to be one of the best comedies of the season. Midge showing up to the real dad's house was hilarious. I know he's four hours away, but how the fuck doesn't he know about the Rosie murder? And Midge doesn't tell him she's dead? The Stan vs. the bird killing son was goofy too. Awful acting. Some writer had to be very proud of Holder's "Sayonara, Hiawatha" line since that was the title of the episode. I cringed as soon as it left his mouth.

If I knew that some key evidence in a murder investigation was hidden in a storage shed, I think I'd probably notify the feds. Then I'd probably introduce them to the young hotel worker, show them the key to the 10th floor and trail along with a big grin on my face while the big boys walked into the casino with a search warrant.

I feel sorry for Rosie Larsen, who had to die in a fictional universe where the ruling law of nature is idiocy.

Disagree. The guy playing the father is the only thing that seems real to me.
