I was unclear about it, too, which is why I made it a point to watch Talking Dead tonight. I also didn't notice the hair in the zombie's mouth.

They may not need a grave for Lori, but I understand the idea of digging one. I was surprised that they had one for Carol, too, for that same reason.

So did Daryl lay that flower on Carol's grave or T-Dog's? I assume Carol.

And the "Sofie" hand at the day care center was a nice touch.

The director said one of the graves was empty. I'm guessing the empty grave is Lori's, but the preview after tonight's show hinted at Carol being alive.

I also didn't notice the hair in the zombie's mouth till I watched it again later, or the Sofie hand at the daycare center. Two very nice touches.

That flower was the same one from Season 2, when they had the scene where Daryl showed Carol the flowers and had the talk about the Trail of Tears. Definitely put that on Carol's grave.

And I inferred that the zombie had eaten Lori for Thanksgiving dinner. Hell, it might've resembled me after Thanksgiving. Laying motionless, stomach extended, dead to the world.

I didn't think this episode matched the past few. It was good and got a lot accomplished, so I am not complaining. I picked up on the fat zombie having eaten Lori immediately, then laughed hard at the idea of a fat zombie. My fucked-up sense of humor took a lot of the shock value and grotesqueness out of that scene.

    I loved the opossum, too.

  7. They must have found Carol's body.. Why would you waste time digging an empty grave?
I assumed Carol was still alive, until Glen talked about losing a third of the group in a day.
So now I assume they found Carol's body... Geez what crappy write off... She disappears out the door, leaving a head cover. Did they cut some of those scenes out?

And what was with the fat zombie? He ate so much he couldn't move? He just sat there? Meh.

And phone ... Was Rick hallucinating that? I am looking forward to seeing that next week.

I think they found Carol's sweater, didn't they? Perhaps they were burying that as a symbolic gesture. Carol's death is just an assumption.

It wasn't a crappy write-off because it wasn't a write-off. It was simply speculation on the group's part that she was dead. Based on Glen's conversation with Axel and Oscar ("I need three" in reference to the graves dug) and then immediately talking with Hershel about losing "a third" of the group. They assume she's probably dead and either zombie chow or a zombie. But it's not like they're going to look for her - that's dangerous.

The fat zombie gorged itself on Lori. I have no problem with it just laying there all fat. They've shown zombies in the past just leaning against walls or laying down - gorged or completely emaciated.

I initially was a bit confused about the Lori stuff when I saw Glen digging the grave. But then you realize that this episode picked up exactly where last week's left off, and we see the advancement of time is very short. So, there wasn't really a moment where anyone went off to get her. Each person was doing something else.

They just assumed Carol was dead because they found a piece of her clothing. In next weeks's preview they show Daryl finding something else -- I couldn't catch it.

Exactly. They teased something about her. Like a knife she was carrying or something....

It was her knife. Or at least that's what Daryl said.
