I loved the Glenn-Maggie-Michonne-Merle plot (though please don't kill Glenn or Maggie). I disliked the Andrea-Governor plot. I thought the Rick plot was a well-crafted waste of time.

But my favorite part of the episode is Daryl, Oscar and Carl clearing out the cell blocks and Daryl finding Carol.

Yeah, yeah, agree with all that. Very much looking forward to the Rick/Governor showdown, as others here have mentioned.

I hope Michonne slices Andrea in half. Have a feeling Daryl will be forced to kill Merle...

If it wasn't made clear before last night's episode, Merle is a dangerously insane human being. This is going to get ugly. Great job by the writers to set it up the way they did to get these camps to cross.

Also, I had no idea Rick was just losing it on those phone calls. The voices did sound somewhat familiar at first (Amy was the first woman, I believe, and T-Dog was the male who called back) but I didn't pick up on it until Lori's voice. I really thought the Governor had someone holed up there that was bitten and zombiefied, and they had been trying for days, weeks or months trying to reach him or her. Alas, it wasn't that.

Also, if Merle would rather lie to the Governor than tell him that Michonne got away, it makes me wonder about the Governor's level of sanity.

He wanted Merle to bring back her head. Not too much sanity going on up there now anyway :D

Good point. It's clear that while Merle is certainly wobbly up there, he's respectful of the Governor and his authority. Now, authority is probably another word for menace and dangerous, but we've yet to fully see that.

I mean... the Governor DID send Merle to hunt down and kill Michonne.

I guess she was desperate for help, but I find it weird, knowing Michonne's character on the show, that she would openly trust a group of strangers after what she witnessed at Woodbury.

Now, maybe she felt the need to tell them about Maggie and Glenn getting captured but I dunno. She even brought the supplies they were forced to leave behind.

Probably to save Carol. This show telegraphs a lot of shit.

Andrea told her a lot about the group. And Andrea liked the group for the most part. She is familiar with this group, even if she has never met it.

It does raise an interesting question about her motivations. And I'm curious to see how they'll handle it. Perhaps she had a baby or young niece/nephew just before things got really bad. Let's watch and find out...

But how would Michonne know that Andrea's former group is the same group at the prison? Did she gleam something from eavesdropping on Glenn and Maggie?
