It wasn't exactly a group of fighters left at the prison. The most "lethal" of the crew they left behind was probably Carl.

Plus Maggie and Glenn told the Governor there was 10 people at the prison. Yet he knows they cleared it, which was apparently a big task he wasn't willing to take if you listened to his dialogue a few times, so I'm guessing this group he sends won't be a weak one.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he looked at Merle and said something along lines of "I thought you told me that was impossible to do?"

    He did indeed say that.

    I believe this is correct.

Also, who was watching Carol perform her little weird c-section?

That's what I meant by the governor expressing a long-standing interest in the prison. He apparently had checked the place out before and they didn't think they could take it. Now that it's clear, it's ripe for the picking.

I don't think anyone dies at the prison. They're all valuable to the Woodbury group -- all women and children. And Hershel, who can be an experiment. Or maybe he sacrifices himself -- Maggie's ultimate guilt trip. I'd put my money on him or te little redneck.

  8. Why take the prison? Other than to kill the group?
The have a small town, which I am sure it's residents would prefer over a cell block.

I think them making a big deal out of Rick's group taking the prison to show us it was no small task and this group is a very formidable threat to the Gov.'s paramilitary group of flunkies.
I doubt the gov.'s group makes it to the prison this episode.
I think that will be the mid-season finale; the counter-assault on the prison.

Dumb way to get to the name...why not just say it was Lori's middle name?

Why were they willing to kill a bunch of soldiers -- or at least reservists -- for no apparent reason?

I don't think the Governor wants any threats to his little kingdom to exist.

It was Lori's middle name? I never caught that.

It wasn't. Spike was saying that would have been an easier way to arrive at a shit name like Judith. I think the point was Carl still holds on to some vestiges of his past life.
