This is awesome. An infographic of every onscreen zombie kill from the show. One error I noticed (they have the scythe coded for season 3 in one spot when it was used in season 2), but with this many kills, that's tiny.

Every episode from the first two seasons will be rebroadcast in black and white this February. Not my thing at all.

The black and white? I guess it makes some sense because the comic is black and white, but I doubt I'll watch, either.

We have color and sound. I don't understand why people think it's Artistic to throw that away.

Pleasantville and The Wizard of Oz used black and white rather artistically, I'd say.

I'm not saying it can't be used properly. But The Walking Dead was meant to be color. Why strip sensory details other than as some marketing ploy to pull in the types of people who go, "Oooh, look, it's so emotionally resonant in black and white!"

It'd be funny if in their attempt to add something to the series by grayscaling it, they ruined some reveal that was reliant on color.

I can't think of anything that the viewers need to know the color of off the top of my head.

I wonder if the b&w will allow some more squeamish folks to watch?

The Walking Dead is based on a comic book that is in black and white, so you can argue that it really was meant to be that way, but they compromised for commercial reasons and now it is doing well enough that we get the vision as Kirkman intended.

Not that I give a shit. I simply like it better in color.

You can argue too that one of the originals in the genre, Night of the Living Dead, was in black and white and still holds up pretty well in that format, even 45 years later.
