I don't think it'll be long before Daryl and Merle come back to the prison -- or wherever the group may be.

Yea, I figured that too. Just don't want Daryl out to long. My favorite character and Merle just adds another level of creepiness to an already creepy scenario.

I don't think this was a great episode. Meandered too much. Andrea's speech was laughable. Rick was just being a dick by not shaking Cutty's hand. And I just didn't like the end.

    Two parts I did like:
    1. Merle calling Michonne his nubian queen.
    2. Glen stomping the hell out of that zombie's head.

Glenn going off on Rick was pretty awesome, too.

  5. Glen's gonna kill Merle before the season is over.

All of the above. Cutty's got a real likable streak going in two of the best series ever.

And you had to like Daryl taking back his crossbow.

I generally didn't like it. Andrea was awful, as always. Her speech was the worst. Merle, Daryl and Glen were about the only interesting characters in the episode.

There was no justifiable reason for Rick to be so hostile toward Tyreese's people when everyone was vouching for them. Clearly the guy just needs some fucking sleep. That's not good television; it's gimmickry.

Another thing I'm finding out: Watching The Wire (I haven't gotten up to Chad Coleman's character yet) really makes other dramas look bad when watched in close proximity.

They talked about Rick pushing Tyreese's people away on The Talking Dead. Their take, which I agree with, is that he's so screwed up in the head right now that he's pushing away any unknowns because he sees them as a possible threat, so he lets Daryl go because of his brother, tells them Michonne's gone as soon as she's healthy and then doesn't accept the new group into theirs. Not a sane choice necessarily but makes sense.

Not a sane choice at all, but that's kind of the point. Remember, as he's pushing Tyreese's people away, he's hallucinating. That's kind of the point. Rick's losing it.

I get what they are trying to do. It's forced.

More piling on the Andrea speech. That was by far the worst scene in the series so far.

So cliche and empty yet you have these shots of people nodding and agreeing and deciding that everything will be fine.

She'd have been more convincing and Andrea-like shooting the first runner who tried to get out the gate.

See, I don't agree with this. Rick was skeptical of the last group of four strangers who wanted to mix in with his group and wanted to keep them completely out of the prison but relented and let them have a wing of their own. That decision nearly led to him getting killed by zombies, nearly getting killed by random latino guy, nearly getting killed by skinny black guy, skinny black guy sounding the alarms, nearly getting Rick killed by more zombies, forcing Lori away from the group, getting her killed through a rushed childbirth and nearly got Rick killed again by other black guy who decided at the last moment to kill skinny black guy.

I think Rick is well within his rights to be skeptical of ANYONE he doesn't know at this point, including Michonne, who's proven to be a wildcard Rick can't trust, and this new group of individuals who, at have at least two members who have already plotted to take the prison by force.
