You put a lot of thought into this post, didn't you? :p

Rick never trusted the inmates until Oscar and skinny white guy who is still alive for some reason but clearly will die at some point this season stood with them against the Latino guy.

His group has taken on numerous outsiders. These guys had the backing of his group members. Only lack of sleep led to this, and the entire plot point felt forced.

    Agreed.

Also agree on Andrea's horrible, horrible speech. Felt like I was watching a different show.

If I were seeing visions of Love Unlimited Orchestra, I have no idea what crazy shit I'd do.

But yes, Rick's continued craziness does seem forced. How can he be lucid one moment, leading a raid on Woodbury, for example, and then all of the sudden go all Syd Barrett?

And speaking of that raid on Woodbury, that was forced. Talk about a copout way to get out of that Merle-Darryl confrontration. How would Rick, et al, know where to take up positions? Glen and Maggie hadn't seen that much of Woodbury. I thought that sucked.

Andrea's speech was God awful. Reminded me of the hilarious fake movie clips from the legendary Awards Show skit by Kids In The Hall.

Maybe they got their intel from Michonne, who saw much more of Woodbury than Glenn and Maggie.

I'm just glad that in a zombie Apocalypse, Maggie still wears yoga pants.

So the most recent episode of The Walking Dead drew 12 million viewers. To compare, Breaking Bad, which I think is better than The Walking Dead, generally draws 2.5 million or so viewers.

    Wow.

FWIW, Breaking Bad usually airs during a time of year when the weather is better and there are other things to do.

The Walking Dead is airing in the middle of the winter and this episode aired the weekend a lot of folks were stuck at home.

I have never seen Breaking Bad live. I like to watch the seasons on Netflix after the fact so I don't miss any.

I mean, that's true. But I don't think that accounts for the entire difference in viewership. Both are on Sunday night, when people are typically at home. It's not like Breaking Bad is on Saturdays at 3 p.m.

  11. Walking Dead was up against the Grammys and the Fox Animation block.

Good point. Makes it even more impressive.

I chose The Walking Dead over the Grammys. Really wasn't all that difficult a choice, either.
