And they will do the same. Survivors know the deal by now.

Yeah, I'd assume that at some point when society is re-established, bashing the dead's skull would be basic practice. That or burning them, but you gotta do that before they come back.

I would think that by the point when we can use society as a descriptor, they might have a cleaner method for handling the bodies. But yes, that's my point. Eventually there won't be any more dead bodies with in-tact brains.

Has it ever been explained whether the previously dead were affected by the virus? I can't imagine how a virus would affect those who died before it was introduced, but I also can't understand how there are so many people who died without being eaten during the two years or whatever since the outbreak.

Kirkman's been pretty unabashedly candid about certain aspects and questions people have about zombies and backstory and "how does this..."

    He doesn't give a fuck.

Enjoy what he gives you or move along is his premise.

I don't think spike was talking about you. He was just generalizing.

Frankly, to be safe, we might want to consider doing that to folks as they die now. Not like it would inconvenience them at that point. But it just might guard against a zombie virus actually happening and re-animating retroactively. :D

I like your thinking. Head off the trouble now before it becomes a problem.
