If I remember correctly, the first of the prison crew we saw was Maggie, not Glenn. But yeah, it made no sense at all not to show Rick, Michonne and Daryl and even less to have none of the Woodbury crew get killed.

The other stupid thing was taking 50 or so people to kill 10 and massing them all together. Should have sent some scouts in, done some recon around the back. It was like Deputy Chief Dwayne T. Robinson was planning the attack.

Apparently, Shumpert (Bowman), used a bow at the beginning of the season when the helicopter went down. That's where he got his nickname from supposedly. I don't remember.

Lots of good points both ways, but I liked it. Wouldn't characterize Herschel wrong as much as it is about being of the old world. Carl is a man of a new world.

I had no issue with Carl killing the dude in the woods. Interesting how they made that guy extremely good looking, too. Anybody else notice that? He wasn't grungy, he wasn't grimy, he was this, like, beautiful dude with big, blue, innocent eyes. And Carl just shot him dead. Carl didn't flinch. Rick would've. But Carl told him to put his gun down, and the guy waited too long. It's not like the guy dropped his weapon and then Carl shot him. Hershel needs to remember what fucking world he lives in.

Yep. More writing/editing that simply doesn't fit the characters and the series. The last time the Gov. attacked the prison he did so by launching a walker-filled truck into the compound. I.e., he put a shitload of thought into it and came up with something devious and tricky. This time, they just drove in and parked and shot the shit out of everything.

I have to admit that I was a little shocked that Carl pulled the trigger. But we are also only three episodes removed from Carl watching his father leave a hitchhiker on the side of the road to die... and then scavenging through the mauled hitchhiker's belongings. So whatever.

I do have a bit of a problem with the rational that he cited in his little speech.

The Andrew excuse was weak. Rick left that dude to die in a courtyard full of walkers and I'm still not sure how he survived. And there have been examples of how letting in a stranger - Axel, Oscar - has benefited the group. And I'm pretty sure that Carl, Glen and Maggie would be zombie chow right now if another stranger - Michonne - hadn't been rescued. Hell, Carl and his group were a pack of strangers when they ended up on Hershel's farm and they weren't all executed, which may be why the old man was so shocked to see what he saw.

Still, Carl is going to be fun to deal with as we move forward.

  12. I think I am going to quit reading this thread. The more I read this thread the less I like the show.

Some of you are starting to nitpick the show to death.

Maybe I'll stick with ignorance is bliss when it comes to the WD.
