Late to the party, as usual: Just watched all 6 epis over the last 2 days on DVR.

What a blast. Plenty of nit-picks, though (like what happened to the one-armed Deliverance dude and the father/son from epi 1) but I guess we'll find out in Season 2. Also, the whole CDC thing was a bit of a let-down. Also, not sure why Shane at least didn't grab a Hummer on the way out of the CDC, as was noted by a poster earlier.

At any rate, now that Terriers is dead (sniff sniff) I'll probably have to list this one as my most anticipated new show.

It's a fun show, and it's on all week, three episodes a night, it seems.

As an aside, beyond original programming, which is great, AMC is barely trying anymore. They'll do one of their "everybody loves this movie, so we'll show it again and again" excuse -- that's how it's promo'd -- and then do things like they're doing this week, showing the Chronicles of Riddick four times over two nights or whatever. The did Back to the Futures day after day a few weeks ago. It's OK, but they're easier to turn off now when they don't have Mad Men or whatever.

Finally got around to it on the Tivo. Hell of a premiere. One of the things I love about cable is that you can cruise through a series pretty quick on Tivo.

I thought that was why he ended up with that nasty scratch on his neck (hee, hee)

Finished it off tonight. Liked it. Wish it would stay a six or seven ep series. I'm hoping it doesn't pull a "Lost" and start going off into too many directions and remains focused on showing how the survivors deal with their new reality.

I think I've read 13 episodes, which is more than double last year. Excellent.

Watched the six eps over the weekend, after carrying them on the DVR for nearly a year. Thoroughly enjoyed them, though most zombie scenarios are pretty derivative (lone wacko on a roof somewhere, loved ones who get bit and must get put back down).

I thought the scene early on of the fellow who rescued Rick being unable to shoot his zombified wife was pretty poignant for a gore fest. Also feel bad for the kids, who lose all semblance of childhood in such a horrific reality.

Also, Daryl and his brother are redneck SOBs but I'd want them -- and that crossbow -- on my side in a geek fight.

I've been doing a ton of reading and nerding about Season 2. AMC's site has a neat blog that keeps up with the behind-the-scenes happenings of the show. Mazzara has also given some recent interviews that can probably be found with a basic Google search. I'm so excited that I'm going to re-watch Season 1 and re-read "World War Z."

So should we start a new thread for season 2, or continue from here?
