AMC's The Walking Dead

One of Milton's first scene involves him explaining how Michonne cut their jaws out and removed their arms so that they had no method of attacking.

 

Has anyone here played the Walking Dead video game? Not the one related to the TV show (which supposedly sucks massive balls), but the one conceived by Kirkman?

That game is a tour de force. Some of the TV characters are in it, but it's mostly its own entity. Engrossing shit.

 

If they addressed the upper teeth, and rendered those useless or unavailable, I missed it. I thought the focus was on removing the lower jaw. Maybe I found Michonne's pets too gross to look at so closely. Just seemed to me they could press down pretty well with their uppers, vampire-style.

 

Console game or the social media game? I haven't played any, but I considered the PS3 game a couple weeks back. Just figured games based on TV shows are generally shit, so I stayed away. Very happy with Black Ops II, though.

 

The Walking Dead game that was released as episodes before it made its way to a full disc is incredible stuff.

I was skeptical at first but it is the first game in a long while that I felt emotionally invested in the characters. Just an incredible experience. it didn't win GOTY awards for nothing, after all.

 

That's the game I'm talking about. Very, very good.

So good, and so unrepentantly dark, I had to take a break from it.

 

Aren't there two TWD games now?

I know I saw two of them at GameStop the other day. One was $30 or so and the other -- with Daryl and Merle in it -- was $50.

 

Yes. One is complete shit (the $50 one). The other is the GOTY worthy offering. Well worth the $30.
