If you watch Talking Dead, they showed a clip -- the opening scene, IIRC -- from next week's show and provides a reason why there are so many walkers around the prison.

I understand that but we're talking about a couple hundred walkers there and they sent three people to take them out. At what point would those three become overwhelmed? You've got to figure that anyone who isn't on a crucial mission should be there. Hell, it would probably take a lot less time for 20 people to kill that horde than three.

The chances a walker gets past that fence are pretty slim. And IIRC, aren't they rotating walker duties?

Who's to say that we only saw the three people at that part of the fence? There could have been groups of 3 all over the place doing this and we only saw that group because Tyrese was there. There could be 7 groups doing this all at once. There's your 20 people.

schiezainc, they made pretty clear that this is a constant problem. You can't ask people to spend all day every day killing zombies that aren't even in position to hurt anyone.

And PaperClip529, the biggest death in the show's history was natural.

I tried to come up with something to say about this season premiere. I couldn't. It was OK. I'll keep watching, as always.

Are we calling anything other than being killed by zombies natural? Not arguing. Just want to make sure I'm getting your point there.

That's what I meant, yes. It was every bit as natural as a 13-year-old dropping dead after being sick for three hours.

Are we calling Shane and Merle's deaths natural? Because those two were shot by someone, then turned.

Yes, but have they had recently dead and returned walkers show any sign of intelligence? I can't remember an instance of that since the early episodes. It's not like we haven't seen walkers that just turned since then, including Shane and Merle.

Just to be clear, the biggest death on the show thus far was Lori's.

Sounds like it, so we're talking about anybody who died by something other than a zombie bite, which would include Merle, Shane and Lori.
