Notice how Rick kept looking at the one zombie with the "Bleeding red eyes" in the beginning. He noticed it wasn't like the others. And now, Patrick, has contracted whatever the heck it was that killed that particular person.

There's going to be a mighty wake-up call at the beginning of the next episode.

    ALSO,

About Rick wearing the headphones. I wouldn't want to try to work and listen to walkers moaning/screaming all the damn day. Don't blame him at all for "wasting" batteries.

Also, that was just one more way to hit viewers over the head with the idea that the residents of the prison have become too comfortable.

True on Andrea. I believe they changed course with her during the season, because, if I recall correctly, they reshot some of the second half after all the criticism of her. But it's just my opinion. Don't think people considered earlier that she would be killed off.

I can see the argument for Lori's death being the biggest, but, as you said, she needed to be killed off. I think Dale's was more unexpected, thus in that way bigger, and was important to the direction of the group. We all knew Shane had to go too. And I would guess many would say little Sophia's death was so shocking (even though my wife and I kept saying "she's in the barn as a zombie. why don't they look there?" well before the big scene.)

That's what I kept saying, too, but I didn't want to believe it.

Don't know if this should go here or the other thread, but has anyone read the novels Kirkman has released? I picked the first two up tonight from Barnes & Noble.

I read the first one...but that is the comic-book world, so I would suggest taking it to the other thread. But, please share over there, cause I would love to hear your thoughts.

I'm surprised to see no posts about last night's episode. Usually, that's not a good sign.

What did you guys think of the little twist at the end?

I thought it was a spectacularly creepy episode.

I've heard people refer to the show as a gorefest. It certainly lived up to that last night.

I thought the twist at the end was a good one. Creates plenty of room to speculate about who did it and why.

I just caught up and am looking forward to next week. I didn't hate it...just like how it ramped up a bit and it's only going to get crazier.
