Didn't ring true to me, given all the moral messes these characters have dealt with. Was this transgression really that bad, given where things were headed and what had been done in the past?

Wonder how it'll be sold to the others: Walkers won on the latest run? Agree we'll see the character again, so will temporary absence be explained away with a lie?

The Talking Dead was a good one last night, mainly because Chris Jericho and Gillian Jacobs were on and really know the show (Hello Marilyn Manson), but also since there wasn't someone involved in the show, they were pretty open about how some of the stuff just seemed off.

Rick made it about him and his wanting to change. Keeping Carol around would've been too hard for him to handle I guess.

Plus, I don't think he'd want her death on his hands when Tyreese clubbed her head in with his hammer.

Rick had no choice but to exile Carol. She'd become a loose -- if practical -- cannon. Taking matters into her own hands, teaching the kids how to be killers, murdering people. She was becoming dangerous on a subtle level. How long might it have been before she took over the group and became Governor light? Or just allows the weaker people in the prison to meet their fate, and develop a "strong shall survive" philosophy?
Plus, if she goes back and Rick tells the others what she's done -- or Carol tells them; she didn't seem shy about hiding what she did or why -- it would tear the prison apart. Tyreese would want blood, a portion of the main group would likely shun her, some might want her exiled or executed. Exiling her then and there maintains some order and sense of justice.
I think Rick also knows that Carol is at a point where she can take care of herself. He's not sending her into the world unprepared, like she did with the two people in the house.

Walking Dead has talkie episodes that suck and talkie episodes that are good. This one fell into the latter category. I dug it.

Nice to see Rick make a choice again.

Isn't Darryl her squeeze? Be interesting to see how that plays out.

I think it was the trailer for the season that suggested a falling out between Rick and Darryl. I'm guessing this will be the cause.

OK, Carol will either end up being captured by the Governor or will end up in the spinoff.

The spinoff is supposed to be on the West Coast correct? Man, that will be quite the haul for Carol. Ha!

I thought Kirkman had said it wasn't going to be in Georgia but hadn't said anywhere more specific. Did they ever say it was on the West Coast? I missed that.

On the request of my sister, I am beginning this series tonight from the series premiere. Hopefully I'll like it as much as she says I will.

I thought I read on some website that the spinoff will be set in California.
