Good show. Just now catching up with last season, too.

The kid creeps me out. He looks like he belongs in the Omen or The Bad Seed. He has this cold, killer look in his dark eyes.

Maybe that will play out later?

If he's dead now, that's a pretty damn big departure from the comic. And I have only seen bits and pieces of the story with the comic.

    I realize that. I should've elaborated.

When Shane pulled down his gun, I figured one of two things. Either they're gonna let the kid get the kill or just let him take in the majesty of the stag. But with only a knife in tow and being maybe 100 pounds, Carl is in no way going to take down the deer. That being said, if Carl got close and tried to hit the deer with whatever knife he had, he'd likely be trampled or gored because a full-grown deer beats a child every time. It never made sense to me why they continued to let him step closer to the stag, though I'm not living in a zombie apocalypse and the whole God/symbol thing could be true.

Back on topic, I don't think either kid is dead, though I think the Carl subplot gets us away from Sophia for a few episodes. I hope the writers don't just forget about that part of the story, though they seem to be keeping up with most of the loose ends so far.

Merle will return. And it will be glorious.

****DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DIDN'T READ THE COMICS***** (It will just confuse you)

Rumors are starting he could be The Governor. Highly unlikely, but it would be a nice twist and a tip o'the cap to the comics.

    ****RESUME NORMAL READING****

    Heard the same thing, spikechiquet.

It'd be a colossal waste if they don't have him come back in some form, whether it be the way you mentioned, as a zombie, as the guy who shot Carl (!) as a vengeful act. Who knows. MINOR SPOILER:

I read recently Michael Rooker will return. The rumors are purposefully vague if its current time or in a flashback of sorts.

    FIN.

Finally watched it ... Still the best show on TV.

I think it's a safe bet the 12-year-old wasn't planning to kill the deer with his Bowie knife, he was just trying to see how close he could get. I literally did the same thing just the other night when I got home from work and a deer was hanging out in my yard (dumb? Maybe, but the deer let me get pretty damn close before sauntering off. It was pretty surreal experience).

And I loved watching everyone pray to a zombie. :D

This show is really good, but as long as AMC still has Breaking Bad and Mad Men as part of the lineup, it's the third best show on its own channel.
