Helping a shot little boy presented to him doesn't forever grant him trust. Still something about him that makes my skin crawl.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Merle was in the preview at the end of last week's show ...

If they don't get back to killing a bunch of zombies soon I'm gonna ditch and wait for it all to come out on Netfllix.

I just caught up today with the last three episodes.

While I like it, I wish they would spend more time showing the ways in which society has fallen apart/search for a new hope than essentially wondering around waiting to die.

I mean, I know the show is titled "The Walking Dead" but, to me, the most interesting events have been seeing the ways in which the world collapsed through Rick's eyes in the pilot and hearing about the virus/attempts to find a cure during the CDC arc.

Loved tonight's episode, even if it didn't wrap up the little girl plot.

I wonder why the barn is full of walkers. My guess? They're members of Herschel's family who turned and he's keeping them in there either because he can't stomach the thought of killing them or he's holding out hope for a cure.

And poor Glen. Dude thought he was getting lucky and then, bam, there goes the wood.

That was my guess, too, and may or may not have been confirmed or denied by my roommate who has read the comics (Either way, not going to spoil it).

It spurred a discussion of who among our group of friends, if turned into a zombie at the zombie apocalypse, we would keep around just to mess around with.

First 45 minutes of the episode were meh. Last 15 were great. I know people speculated on here that there was something with Herschel. Obviously last night confirmed that.

Still, the Sophia story needs to wrap up. Thought it would finally end Sunday. At least they're getting closer (with the discovery of the doll).

Last night's episode was better. And though we got a lot of Daryl by himself, much of it without conversation, Norman Reedus owned those scenes and they weren't dull. Some definite "whoa!" moments with Atlanta being firebombed, Daryl vs. the zombies, Merle's "return," Andrea nearly capping Daryl, and the zombie pets at the end.

As mentioned, I think Hershel is holding out hope for a cure (remember his hope and faith stance a few times to Rick) or wants to see how long it takes before the zombies basically disintegrate (ala "28 Days Later").

One thing that doesn't make much sense is why, if Atlanta was "napalmed" as Shane said, was there not some residual effects when we saw Rick and crew there? I'm not sure how napalm works when it's dropped (I know it burns skin, yes, but as far as what it looks like). Or was "Napalming" just a term he used for bombing or something? There have been plenty of shots of Atlanta and we haven't seen burnt up buildings or any indication of mass bombings. Anyone?

Wasn't Rick in downtown Atlanta for a lot of Season 1?

    Yeah.

Which is why I wonder we didn't see, just weeks and possibly days after Atlanta's napalming, scorch marks, rubble, burnt buildings or even fried/melted persons (zombies?) in the streets?

Why are there still jungles in Vietnam?
